place mats and lapquilts
Hi All. This a lap quilt made by a friend to sell on her bonemarrow stall so I put a nice E2E design by Anne Bright all over it and it looked great. I hope it sells ok for such a good cause.
My little craft group of 17 friends decided to make a table runner as a 1 day project. About 8 of us decided to do it. Two of the ladies had never pieced and patchwork before and are now hooked These are two of the table runners.. One was quilted using cross hatching and the other had large feather blocks and 1/2 blocks, both looked really great.

Purple passion
This lovely quilt was made by Helen in a group project the pattern was called Davids Choice.I don't know what magazine it was published in. Helen wanted straight lines in the border 1/2"apart.It was very effective. the centre was a border to border design using Anne Brights botanical blossoms. This quilt was a gift to Helens daughter.
Lorraines Wedding Quilt.
HI THERE.
One of my beautiful daughters Lorraine was married on January 5th 2008 and four of her very best friends and myself hand apliqued this stunning quilt for her and her lovely husband Jim.It was a challenge for Sandra,Rosie,Annette and Andrea and myself as some of us had done very little needleturn aplique, but as you can see it turned out beautifully.
This was the first custom quilt that I quilted on my lovely new gamill named Fred. I opted for stipple all over,(around the aplique) and it worked out well.Lorraine was very pleased and so were the group of five.

2 for the boys.
Another one for the footy fans .Essendon is a team in the AFL.(Australian Football League).Any supporter young or old would love this one. I quilted it with an E2E with footys on it using black thread.
This is a very cute quilt for a little boy who loves Paddington Bear. The E2E quilt design was fun to do. I hope you like it.
Stay tuned for the next installment I have some great quilts coming up.

Pink and Green
This is a lovely quilt using an E2E design of hearts and loops. This was made for my customers mothers 95th birthday. it was a real pleasure to do this one
Pink and green again. This seems to be the colour combination of the year. I must say that the variety of designs and materials that fit into this criteria are huge and the quilts are georgous.
This is a beautiful big quilt made by Heather in a workshop and quilted with a design called just roses. The piano key border finished this one off.
See what I mean about pink and green?

Two for perusal
Hi I forgot to post yesterday so today I will post about 2 quilts.
The first quilt is a lovely cosy flannel quilt made for a little girl. I have quilted it with an E2E design 0f flowers and using Creative Studio which is the new programme for the Statler Stitcher computerised system for my machine,I used the trim feature. This allowed me to trim the patterns around the houses and trees so no stitching actually went onto them at all and created a feature of the houses. It looked great when finished and the little girl loves it.

My next selection for today is this beautiful mystery quilt made by my daughter from a block of the month mystery by Cathy Stevenson.
I custom quilted this one using designs from several international designers and some of the patterns which I received with my Gamil optimum+ with Statler Stitcher whic shall be named Fred, and known as Fred from now on. LOL.
I loved doing this quilt the challenge was exciting and I think the finished product is fabulous.

Mystery??
This very pretty quilt was made by a customer as a sample for a mystry quilt workshop I attended on retreat with Sunbury Stitchers and Quilters. We used 12 fat quarters to make the quilt in a type of stack and whack method. We all had great fun making these quilts and the results were quite varied. I quilted this one with an All over design by Anne Bright called merrily. You can see the lovely design on the back of the quilt.
Now enough of this slacking off I am going out to my studio.
It is a very versatile design and popular too.
I have about 80 All over designs to choose from now.
