This is a great quilt made by my daughter Lorraine,a while back now but I felt it deserves a showing. The log cabin logs are 1/2"wide. What a marathon effort. And a georgous quilt made with some beautiful reproduction fabrics. I quilted this with a fleur de lis design.

Quilt for a Cure
Hi I have had the priveledge of quilting the Quilt for a Cure quilt " Bluebird of Hope". This is one of 12 different finishing kits available for the 12 smaller blocks, which were designed by 12 distinguished pattern designers here in Australia. Each shop designed their own finished top. This beauty is the finished quilt for Quilters Bazaar in Gisborne,Victoria. To see the other kits and to sign up for block of the month to support this great cause- a hospital in Ethiopia treating women with fistula injuries. - go to WWW.quiltaid.com.au/ or visit Quilters bazaar www.quiltersbazaar.com.au/.
Lorraine has done a wonderful job designing this top and she and several of her friends made the blocks.I have quilted it with designs by Laurie Thomas of Its a Quilt Thing , and free hand background fills for the blocks.Lorraine did not want the quilting too heavy. As a finale to this programme Lorraine has donated the quilt to Quilt for a Cure to be auctioned at their dinner.
