Bluebird of Hope

Here is another Quilt aid Quilt from last year with a different finishing kit.I used a feather block that looked like feather triangles in each of the pieced blocks so the applique looks like it is framed in feathers. The applique blocks were all individually quilted with the belts off using different background fills and outlining and frames. This is a beautiful quilt and will be a gift for a very special friend of the quilter.

Dear Jane

I started a Dear jane quilt last year and have completed one get that 1 block. I was beaten. Just look at Lorraines Dear Jane.it is beautiful and I was privileged to quilt it. Loz wanted an all over design and we chose Clam Shells. I was hesitant to do an all over design but we were both very pleased with the results. What do you think?

Janets Custom Medalion

Hello,
I had left my camera at a wedding and have not been able to post.
This is a lovely medallion quilt that I had the priveledge to quilt.I have used the computer to set 7 separate borders using blocks and 2 more for cornerstones. I also used the array sequences to create corner blocks for outer 2 borders. The outer border is straight lines 1 1/2"apart facing outwards. Then I took off the belts and freehanded around the apliques and freehanded background fills. This was fun.

new quilts to see

This quilt is stunning. The aplique is hand stitched using blanket stitch and the blocks are machine pieced. It is so big I couldn't get a full view successfully. The quilt is custom quilted using designs created by Anne Bright in the borders and sashings, and handguided outline and stipple in the blocks. I used white thread in the blocks and the predominantly white border and light blue thread in the batic borders.
Love this quilt.

I am sorry the photo's
are a bit dark I have the blind down against the heat and forgot it may make the pics darker.
This is a lovely soft quilt in pinks, greens, and creams made from a thimbleberries design and quilted with a design called just roses by Deb Geisler, An american designer, with a very pale green cotton.. The quilt looks lovely

French Collection

Hi.
Today I have posted photos of a quilt called the French Collection. This is a beautiful quilt with lovely stitcheries and will have 123 ceramic buttons sewn on to it.
I quilted this using a 2"crosshatch design in the outer borders and over the stitcheries. I trimmed out the aplique so that there is no stitching on them The sashing borders have a leafy vine pattern in them. I used fawn silouettre cotton
This quilt looks awesome!!!
If you would like to see more about this quilt you can go to:
quiltersbazaar.com
and view the details. It is sold as a kit or a Block of The Month.

Hudsons Garages!!

Hello,
today I have posted a great quilt for a little boy. His name is Hudson . His grandma was very clever and downloaded a couple of pics from the net and transferred them onto fabric thus the car named Hudson and the police car from Cars the movie. The pattern copied is called Adams Garages, but I am sure this will be known as Hudsons garages.LOL.
I have used an all over design for this quilt as it will be washed fairly regularly and customer wanted it strong. The design has construction vehicles on it comprising of cement mixer, front end loader, truck, and train .This has been stitched using variegated signature thread in the colours of red, white, and blue.
