Get stitching

Hi .
Today I have posted pictures of 2 different quilts with stitcheries in them. Both customers requested all over quilting designs and they worked out great. The embroidery stitching was not compromised at all and the allover quilting helped to keep the quilt stable and flat.
I love both of these quilts

Hi today I have posted 2 quilts that I have quilted recently. Both quilts have b

Kris Kringles galore

How is this 2 in 1 day.
I belong to several quilting guilds and this year we had special projects for our Khris Kringles.
The first one is a plastic binder for which we were asked to make a cover. My KK likes oriental fabrics and purples so I got this lovely material with Wisteria all over it and quilted it with fans and ribbons. Not quite finished yet. I hope she likes it.

My next KK likes greens and pinks .Our project was this cookie bag made from suffolk
puffs. Not an easy project but it does look nice. Now I am off to my first Christmas Tea. See ya!!

Hudsons Garages!!

Hello,
today I have posted a great quilt for a little boy. His name is Hudson . His grandma was very clever and downloaded a couple of pics from the net and transferred them onto fabric thus the car named Hudson and the police car from Cars the movie. The pattern copied is called Adams Garages, but I am sure this will be known as Hudsons garages.LOL.
I have used an all over design for this quilt as it will be washed fairly regularly and customer wanted it strong. The design has construction vehicles on it comprising of cement mixer, front end loader, truck, and train .This has been stitched using variegated signature thread in the colours of red, white, and blue.

Rebecca's 30th Birthday quilt

Hi ,
I realised 2 weeks before her birthday that my step daughter Rebecca turned 30. She had asked "me previously when she was going to get a quilt of her own and I said , "you will have to wait for a milestone birthday or wedding aniversary". Well I guess 30 is a milestone.
I know she likes oriental type things so I rummaged around in my stash and local quilt shop and found these materials. Then I wondered how to maup them up. I had a quick look on the webshots website and found something like this quilt. After a few calculations I came up with this design It is a very quick and easy block but looks very effective.
I quilted it with a design called oriental fans and ribbons from the Anne Bright collection. I am very happy with this quilt. I would love to keep it.

custom job

Hello,
I have been very bust the last 2 weeks. Now it is time to post some pics for you.
This is a lovely stack-n-wack kaliedescope quilt in pinks and greens and creams. The colours are not very bright on this quilt but the quilting changed it into a beautiful quilt. It sounds like I am bragging but it did turn out well.LOLOL
I hope you like it too. The owner loved the quilting. I used a swirl block shared by the statler siblings group for the centre of the green blocks and placed a frame from One Song Needle Art designs around the block the medallions. Setting triangles and borders were from Dawn Cheethams Just Quilting Designs in the Curls and Swirls set.

Thimbleberries

Hi,
Today I have posted a couple of pics of a beautiful and huge thimbleberries quilt.
the stitcheries are really georgous. My customer wanted an E2E on this quilt so being darkr colours I used mother goose cotton colour with oak leaves and acorns by Anne Bright as the quilting design. This fitted with the theme of the embroideries and looked absolutely fabulous.
I keep forgetting that the last photo goes to the top so my pics are sort of out of context. I hope you enjoy looking at this quilt as much as I enjoyed quilting it.

Spring daze

Hi I have been very busy going off to quilt shops and to quilt market. It was very interesting and I had a great time but now it is time to get back to blogging again.
This is a lovely quilt made from a beautiful range of fabrics whose name escapes me at the moment. My customer peiced the back as well see photo 3 to use up her excess fabric. I quilted it with an Anne bright block design called Annes Garden made into an E2E. The customer was very happy.

place mats and lapquilts

Hi All. This a lap quilt made by a friend to sell on her bonemarrow stall so I put a nice E2E design by Anne Bright all over it and it looked great. I hope it sells ok for such a good cause.

My little craft group of 17 friends decided to make a table runner as a 1 day project. About 8 of us decided to do it. Two of the ladies had never pieced and patchwork before and are now hooked These are two of the table runners.. One was quilted using cross hatching and the other had large feather blocks and 1/2 blocks, both looked really great.

I will post again soon

Purple passion

This lovely quilt was made by Helen in a group project the pattern was called Davids Choice.I don't know what magazine it was published in. Helen wanted straight lines in the border 1/2"apart.It was very effective. the centre was a border to border design using Anne Brights botanical blossoms. This quilt was a gift to Helens daughter.
