The centre medalloin is crosshatched behind the applique.the triangles ( browns) have a fleur flower triangle design by Joanne Knott in each one .All the plain blue blocks have feathered wreaths placed in them. Each star block has the same design in the star block border and the old maids puzzle block has its own design as does the third block .It does look amazing. Happy 21st birhday Anna
I made this quilt for my neice Anna for her 21st birthday last month. The fabrics were purchased from Quilters Bazaar. I used a block pattern from Anne Bright for the centre blocks .In the black stop border is also a design by Anne bright .The outer border of peacock feathers has a wonderful feather border by Cathy Olsen called curls and swirls. Here it is on Anna's bed. I think she was happy with it. I absolutely loved the way it turned out.

wall hanging
I have just completed this wallhanging for a client using a gold coloured rayon thread that she provided. It quilted up well and this was fun to do.

Same,same but different.
Sisters sent me 2 beautiful tops for me to finish for them. Each quilt was the same design but had different fabric and thread choices. The first treasure I quilted a feather border with a scrolly treatment in the sashings, I used point to point curve in the 2"blocks on both quilts. I used a radiating ray line design in the stitcheries on this first quilt. and a leafy scroll in the sashings. Both quilts looked fabulous when finished

The Dolls House.
Imagine the delight on a little girls face as she is presented with this georgous quilt which I think is called The Dolls House. This quilt is available as a block of the month or a kit from Quilters Bazaar in Gisborne ,Victoria. You can go to their website to order it for your favourite little lady.I custom quilted this with stitch in the ditch and echo quilting, clamshells on the roof, flowering vines up the sides ,clouds in the sky and flowers in the green garden at the bottom. It was great fun.

Here is a feathered star quilt that I have been working on for the past few days. It was exciting to do ,a huge job. I used patterns from,Tammy Finkler,Irena Blume, sibs shared patterns ,
Kathy Ohlsen's feathered border, and a border digitised for me by Dawn Cheetham, with a small amount of freehand. I am tired just thinking about it LOL.

Two for perusal

Hi I forgot to post yesterday so today I will post about 2 quilts.
The first quilt is a lovely cosy flannel quilt made for a little girl. I have quilted it with an E2E design 0f flowers and using Creative Studio which is the new programme for the Statler Stitcher computerised system for my machine,I used the trim feature. This allowed me to trim the patterns around the houses and trees so no stitching actually went onto them at all and created a feature of the houses. It looked great when finished and the little girl loves it.

My next selection for today is this beautiful mystery quilt made by my daughter from a block of the month mystery by Cathy Stevenson.
I custom quilted this one using designs from several international designers and some of the patterns which I received with my Gamil optimum+ with Statler Stitcher whic shall be named Fred, and known as Fred from now on. LOL.
I loved doing this quilt the challenge was exciting and I think the finished product is fabulous.
